Snelling is recruiting a full-time Bankruptcy Litigation Paralegal for a well-established company in the Birmingham area. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting attorneys through complex litigation matters.

Starting Salary Range: $64,000 - $68,000 annually, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities of Bankruptcy Litigation Paralegal:

• Manage and maintain detailed case files, track deadlines, and coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
• Conduct legal research, including analyzing statutes, case law, and legal precedents
• Draft legal documents, including answers to complaints, motions, discovery requests, deposition summaries, and trial briefs
• Support the discovery process by reviewing documents, drafting discovery responses, and scheduling depositions
• Interview and prepare witnesses for depositions and trial testimony
• Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, legal arguments, and trial notebooks
• Gather and analyze information from clients, insurance companies, medical records, and other relevant sources
• Provide comprehensive litigation support throughout all phases of the bankruptcy process

• Proficiency with legal terminology, procedures, and software applications
• Thorough understanding of legal ethics and court procedures
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Education & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Legal Administration, Paralegal Studies, or a related field
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a Commercial Bankruptcy Paralegal role
• Paralegal certification is preferred but not required
