Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time position is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter with expertise in American Sign Language instruction. This onsite role supports multiple school settings, providing critical munication services to students across various grade levels.

Opportunities:

• Position 1: Serve K-12 students across three schools, delivering interpretation and ASL teaching services
• Position 2: Focus on K-4 students in a single school environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate effective munication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and their classmates, teachers, and staff through expert sign language interpretation
• Deliver American Sign Language instruction tailored to the developmental levels of students, fostering language acquisition and cultural awareness
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to create an inclusive educational environment
• Assist in the development of individualized munication plans to meet students unique needs
• Maintain professional standards and stay current with best practices in sign language interpretation and teaching

Desired Qualifications:

• Proficiency as a Sign Language Interpreter, confirmed by relevant certification or experience
• Experience teaching American Sign Language, preferably in K-12 educational settings
• Ability to manage diverse student needs and adapt instructional methods accordingly
• Strong munication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate within educational teams
