Senior Mechanical Engineer
Seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to drive innovation at our world-class manufacturing facility in Tallassee, Alabama. With over a decade of experience, you will serve as a technical cornerstone for our clients collaborative engineering teams, transforming complex concepts into market-leading smart water products. education: Bachelors responsibilities:
- Lead the development and introduction of new mechanical designs into high-volume production.
- Engineer complex injection-molded thermoplastic parts and sand-cast metal components.
- Define precise machining requirements and specifications for both metal and plastic materials.
- Design and optimize stamped sheet metal parts for durability and manufacturability.
- Utilize advanced 3D CAD modeling (CREO preferred) to architect mechanical systems and assemblies.
- Oversee the creation and rigorous checking of ANSI standard engineering drawings.
- Establish comprehensive product test plans and specifications to validate design integrity.
- Engineer specialized housing and protection solutions for electronic assemblies in harsh outdoor environments.
- Mentor and lead junior engineers, actively sharing technical knowledge to elevate team performance.
- Manage existing product designs to identify and implement continuous performance enhancements.
