Join us as we digitally connect the world and shape the future. **The Role** As a Director of Program Management, you will be a key member of the Lumen Project Management Office (PMO) leadership team under the CTO, driving strategic and operational priorities across the organization. You will provide expert leadership to plan, manage, and deliver complex, large-scale technology programs that span multiple disciplines and business units. This role requires a proven record of delivering measurable business outcomes, exceptional leadership in a matrixed and fast-paced environment, and the ability to mentor and develop project management talent across the enterprise. We are seeking a results-driven leader to oversee the execution and delivery of complex, cross-functional programs within the Technology organization at Lumen. This individual will align program objectives with corporate strategy, ensure disciplined governance, and deliver transformational outcomes through best-in-class program management practices. Initially, this leader will play a pivotal role in the 2-3 year Salesforce Transformation Program, providing strategic oversight, governance, and execution leadership to ensure the successful delivery of solutions that enable business transformation and operational excellence. The ideal candidate brings experience in Salesforce or other large-scale SaaS deployments, deep technical and delivery expertise, and a proven ability to lead global, multi-disciplinary teams across all phases of the program lifecycle. **Location** This is a remote opportunity open to candidates located anywhere in the U.S. **The Main Responsibilities** + Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of large-scale technical programs, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and priorities. + Oversee end-to-end program delivery, managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and resources across multiple concurrent workstreams. + Establish and enforce governance frameworks, driving transparency, accountability, and data-driven decision-making. + Identify, track, and mitigate program risks and dependencies, maintaining overall delivery health and stakeholder confidence. + Foster cross-functional collaboration across business, product, and technical teams to ensure seamless execution and integration. + Deliver clear, consistent executive communications and stakeholder updates focused on outcomes and strategic impact. + Manage program financials and vendor relationships, including forecasting, contract performance, and value realization. + Lead organizational change management and adoption efforts, ensuring user readiness and sustainable business value. + Build and mentor a high-performing program management team, promoting accountability and continuous improvement. **What We Look For in a Candidate** + Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred). + 10+ years of progressive program management experience, including leadership of large, complex technical programs and distributed teams. + Proven experience leading software, engineering, or product development initiatives within large organizations. + Demonstrated success managing Salesforce or other enterprise-scale SaaS implementations (e.g., Workday, ServiceNow, Oracle Cloud, SAP). + Experience leading in a matrixed, fast-paced, and evolving environment with global or outsourced delivery models. + Ability to manage competing priorities and operate effectively with ambiguity while maintaining strategic clarity. + Strong relationship-building skills with both business and technology partners to influence, align, and deliver enterprise outcomes. + Demonstrated sense of urgency, accountability, and operational excellence. + Broad experience with program and project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid). + Knowledge surrounding technical architecture, DevOps, Release Management, SDLC, testing methodologies, and deployment processes. + Certifications required: PMP or PMI equivalent required plus formal Agile training and certification (e.g., SAFe Agilist or SPC, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI-ACP) preferred. **Preferred Experience** + Master's degree (MBA, MPM, or MS in Information Systems or Engineering). + Experience leading Public Sector programs, including managing compliance, funding, and procurement requirements. + Familiarity with the Salesforce ecosystem, including multi-cloud integration, data migration, and customization. + Experience in digital transformation, data analytics, or AI/ML initiatives. + Knowledge of ITIL, Lean Six Sigma, or continuous improvement practices. **Compensation** This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
