Location: Birmingham, AL
Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of machinery and equipment through troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining product quality and manufacturing efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting and repair of mechanical systems and equipment.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Utilize hydraulic and pneumatic systems for various applications.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings for equipment assembly and repair.
- Use CAD software to assist in the design and modification of mechanical components.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in all work processes.
- Perform quality control checks on equipment and products to ensure they meet specifications.
- Calibrate and adjust equipment settings to maintain precision and efficiency.
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to improve manufacturing processes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician or similar role.
- Strong troubleshooting and repair skills in mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in CAD software for design and modifications.
- Understanding of quality control procedures and safety standards.
- Experience with equipment calibration and maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
