Position Summary:
The Market Relations role plays a pivotal part in driving the growth of the bank’s deposit portfolio. This position focuses on cultivating relationships within the community, identifying opportunities for deposit gathering, and promoting the bank’s financial products and services to individuals, businesses, and organizations. The ideal candidate is a proactive relationship-builder with strong communication skills and a results-driven mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with community members, local businesses, and key stakeholders to promote deposit products and banking services.
- Actively source, engage, and convert potential deposit clients to increase the bank’s deposit base.
- Collaborate with the branch and business development teams to identify target markets and high-potential opportunities.
- Represent the bank at community events, networking functions, and industry gatherings to enhance brand visibility and foster trust.
- Provide exceptional customer service by understanding clients’ financial needs and recommending appropriate deposit solutions.
- Monitor and analyze deposit trends in the market to inform strategies and maximize growth.
- Prepare reports on market activity, new accounts, and deposit growth to inform management and support strategic planning.
Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:Working Conditions
- Full-time position, typically Monday through Friday, with flexibility required to meet production goals, attend networking events, or accommodate customer schedules outside of normal business hours.
- Primarily office-based with frequent travel within the assigned market; occasional travel for meetings and events.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Professional attire required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in banking, sales, or business development, preferably with a focus on deposits or customer relationships.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse clients.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed growth targets and goals.
- Knowledge of banking products, compliance, and regulations related to deposits is a plus.
- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
