Vulnerability Assessment Analyst I

We are seeking a Vulnerability Assessment Analyst I with experience in cyber security and NIST implementation and assessment standards to support the USAF on an IT Support Services contract. As a Vulnerability Assessment Analyst I you will manage and operate the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) to conduct regular network and system scans. This is a salaried position, full-time, onsite at the Maxwell Air Force Base Gunter Annex.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must have an active US DoD Secret or higher clearance
  • Active IAT Level II or higher certification
  • Available to work onsite Monday-Friday standard day hours
  • Manage and operate the ACAS System to conduct regular network and system scans
  • Ensure the accurate configuration and maintenance of the ACAS environment, performing updates, patches, and tuning to optimize performance and reliability
  • Perform vulnerability assessments and security scans using ACAS tools. Analyze scan results to identify potential security risks, prioritize vulnerabilities based on severity, and work with teams to implement remediation measures
  • Ensure compliance with DoD security policies and standards by continuously monitoring and evaluating system security postures
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of security regulations and standards
  • Prepare reports on scan findings, vulnerability trends, and remediation progress for internal stakeholders
  • Perform duties onsite for a standard 8hr day shift Monday- Friday

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of experience in systems administration
  • 2+ years work experience with vulnerability assessments
  • Active CompTIA Security+ CE Certification or equivalent required
  • Completed or near completion of the ACAS Operator and Supervisor Course required
  • Experience with DISA Forescout Comply to Connect or Tenable desired
  • High attention to detail
  • Superb documentation skills
  • Self-motivated to continuously grow skillset and stay at the forefront of technology evolution
  • DoD experience preferred

**Final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, certifications and/or experience. Hiring at the maximum range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued compensation growth.**
