NOW HIRING: Sitework Grading Foreman

5+ Years of Sitework & Grading Experience Required

CG Jones Construction is a growing commercial general contractor specializing in site development, commercial building construction, underground utilities, and concrete construction. We're looking for experienced professionals who want to build their careers with a company that values safety, quality, teamwork, and professionalism.

Our projects are primarily located throughout Northwest Alabama , with an expanding presence in Northeast Mississippi and Southern Tennessee .

We're looking for a proven leader who can manage crews, coordinate with superintendents, read plans and grades, and consistently deliver safe, high-quality work while keeping projects on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise sitework and grading crews on commercial construction projects
• Plan and coordinate daily activities to keep projects on schedule
• Read and interpret construction plans, grade stakes, and specifications
• Oversee mass grading, finish grading, excavation, drainage, and site preparation
• Coordinate with superintendents, project managers, surveyors, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Operate heavy equipment as needed, including excavators, bulldozers, motor graders, and skid steers
• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company quality standards
• Conduct daily safety meetings and equipment inspections
• Train, mentor, and develop crew members while fostering a positive team environment
• Maintain accurate daily reports and communicate project progress to management

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial sitework and grading experience
• Previous experience leading field crews as a foreman or crew leader
• Strong knowledge of mass grading, finish grading, drainage, excavation, and underground utility installation
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, grade stakes, and elevations
• Experience operating heavy construction equipment
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Valid driver's license required (CDL preferred)
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity
