We’re partnering with a growing manufacturing company in the Wetumpka area to find a Buyer who will play a key role in supporting supply chain and procurement operations. This position reports directly to the CFO and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on cost control, supplier strategy, and overall operational efficiency.
What You’ll Do
- Manage purchasing activities for raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and supplies to support daily production
- Analyze MRP and generate purchase orders to meet production demand
- Partner with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and service agreements
- Monitor inventory levels, identify shortages, and lead root cause analysis and resolution
- Track and report key metrics to drive cost savings and improve performance
- Maintain and optimize ERP data, including parts, bills of materials, and supplier records
- Support forecasting, commodity tracking, and market trend analysis
- Collaborate cross-functionally on new product launches and ongoing product changes
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field
- 2+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, MRP, and ERP systems
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability
- Experience with bills of materials and inventory traceability is a plus
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
