Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A direct hire opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacist specializing in home infusion services. This role focuses on delivering safe and effective pharmacy care in the alternate care and home infusion setting, ensuring patient therapy is monitored and managed with the highest professional standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide ethical pharmacy services in alignment with regulations and professional guidelines
• Assess patient suitability for home infusion therapy and design individualized care plans
• Dispense medications, supplies, and medical equipment accurately and efficiently
• Monitor lab results, perform pharmacokinetic dosing, and document therapy progress
• Educate patients and caregivers on medication use and infusion techniques to promote safety
• Ensure compliance with USP regulations for sterile compounding and clean room operations
• Supervise pharmacy support staff, interns, and students as appropriate
• Participate in patient care discussions and provide drug information support
• Engage in on-call duties to respond to patient needs beyond standard hours

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required; PharmD or Masters degree preferred
• Active pharmacist license in Alabama with a clean disciplinary record
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in home infusion pharmacy practice
• In-depth knowledge of IV admixture services and infusion therapy protocols
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Schedule:

• Full-time, Monday through Friday
• Typical hours: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with flexibility to extend hours when needed
