Marano's d'asporto is a new and thriving eatery in Leeds, Alabama, and we've been welcomed with overwhelming support since we opened our doors three months ago. Our first location may be in a food court, but we are proud to be a scratch kitchen, using only fresh ingredients to create delicious food. You'll receive a base salary with additional compensation for consistently showing up and doing an outstanding job.

We need a Chef Assistant with proven food preparation experience. You will work during the days and hours when our lead Chef is off, and you'll be responsible for taking charge of all kitchen operations in their absence. You should be comfortable with a variety of kitchen equipment and utensils, and be able to slice, dice, and follow a recipe with precision. You'll be responsible for taking charge of all kitchen operations. This includes preparing our full menu—from pizzas to "to-go" meals—as well as handling catering and "freezer to fork" orders. Your duties will extend beyond food prep to include managing inventory, ensuring every product meets our high standards for quality, and maintaining a clean work space. You will be responsible for contributing to the overall cleanliness of the kitchen before leaving for the day. We need someone who understands the importance of presentation, consistency, and a clean workspace. You will prepare each order with care and elegance, ensuring that our high standards are met from start to finish.
