Qualis LLC is seeking a Staff Accountant to supports the accounting and financial reporting functions of a government contracting organization. This role ensures compliance with federal regulations, contract requirements, and company policies, while maintaining accurate financial records and supporting audits.
Essential Duties:
- Lead AP function of the company to include reviewing and entering AP vouchers, expense report review and vendor payments
- Assist with preparing journal entries and maintaining the general ledger
- Support month-end close activities, including account reconciliations
- Help track project costs and labor charges in accordance with contract requirements
- Ensure accuracy of timekeeping and expense reporting in compliance with company policies
- Maintain organized financial documentation for audit readiness
- Support accounts receivable processes
- Assist in preparing reports for internal management
- Provide support during audits, including gathering requested documentation
- Other Duties as Assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree
- Experience:
- 1–3+ years of government contracting experience
- Knowledge of FAR, CAS, and DCAA requirements is highly desirable
- Experience with Unanet, or similar ERP systems.
- Skills:
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of GAAP.
