The Team
The Portfolios team is responsible for the data management of Mutual Funds and ETF portfolio holdings, as well as public portfolios such as government investment pools, Collateralized Loan Obligation and etc. As a result, the group maintains relationships with market participants to directly source unique, valuable content while using technology to acquire and process publicly available information. Overall, this aggregated, cleansed, and normalized data fuels functions like {HLDR}, {PORT}, supports News, and enables our clients to follow the money flows.
What's the Role?
As a Data Management Professional for Portfolios, you will use your domain expertise to manage and enhance the financial data that feeds Bloomberg products, identify innovative workflow efficiencies, implement technical solutions to enhance our systems, products and processes, and establish links with key players in the financial market.
You will use your market knowledge and experience to define what a fit-for-purpose data product looks like. You will work to plan and deliver the data modeling and technology strategy and roadmap which should align to the overall product vision.
We'll Trust You to:
+ Maintain and evolve a Portfolios business plan for FI and Alternative Data products holdings within Portfolios and non traditional portfolio types (BDCs, CLOs, etc)
+ Partner with Product and Engineering to ensure deliverables are well understood, and align with the overall business goals
+ Produce metrics that measure business impact and success
+ Stay on top of the competitive environment and client trends
+ Work with Marketing and Sales to promote our product to clients
You'll Need to Have:
+ A BA/BS degree or higher in relevant data technology field, or equivalent professional work experience
+ 4+ years of professional work experience in Data Product Ownership or related field
+ Proficiency in being comfortable discussing technical concepts and experience evaluating trade-offs in design with Engineering
+ Strong skills for problem solving particularly to modify and enhance processes and workflows
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially when explaining technical processes and solutions to business partners and management
+ Ability to influence others and lead change
+ Experience with communicating and coordinating with internal/external groups to define project scope and meet project deliverables across the implementation process
We'd Like to See:
+ An advanced degree/Masters/PhD or equivalent experience in a STEM subject or Economics/Finance
+ Demonstrated ability in crafting systems for data processing, data modeling, or APIs
+ Product Manager experience bringing sophisticated products to market
+ Experience working with Software as a Service (SAAS)
+ Experience using a Scrum Agile process
+ High attention to detail and degree of demonstrated decision-making and problem-solving skills
+ Solid ability to combine technical data science traits with good business insight
+ Demonstrated experience interpreting fixed income documentation, understanding of finance, and themes in the market
Salary Range = 110000 - 190000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
