Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Experienced Operating Room professionals are sought for a contract position in Prattville, AL. This role requires strong surgical expertise across multiple specialties and the ability to work within a dynamic team environment supporting various surgical units.

Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Strong experience in Trauma (excluding burns), Neuro, General Surgery, Vascular, ENT, Orthopedics including total joint procedures, Gynecology, Urology, Robotics for General and Neuro, Plastics, Breast, and Eye surgeries
• Preferred experience with robotic systems such as Mazor and DaVinci XI
• Open Heart CVOR experience is weled but not required for general ORT roles
• Certification preferred but not mandatory
• Exposure to EMR systems, especially Cerner, and familiarity with IV pumps (Plum 360), medication dispensing (Omnicell), and monitoring equipment (Spacelabs)

Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled surgical tech support across multiple service lines including trauma and robotics-assisted procedures
• Collaborate with unit support staff such as ORA, desk assistants, floor assistants, charge nurses, and team leaders
• Maintain readiness for scheduled shifts and participate in weekend on-call rotations and holiday assignments as directed
• Follow established schedules with varied shift times, including early mornings and evenings, adapting to department needs
• Adhere to orientation protocol with 2 weeks on day shift, and assist as a buddy during training phase
• Wear provided green scrub attire as per departmental standards

Schedule:

• Shift options include 0630-1700, 0630-1500, 1230-2300, and 0630-1900
• Weekend on-call one weekend per month, plus one weekday on call per week
• Holiday work expectations per contract guidelines
