In this role, you will establish, implement, maintain, and enforce quality system processes that support products in a production environment. As needed, measure, analyze, and improve quality system performance consistent with organization quality goals, integrate quality system applications between engineering, manufacturing, and operations to ensure the consistent and ongoing use of quality best practices and communication of quality issues, and facilitate troubleshooting of quality issues with diverse teams, lead causal analysis activities to drive to root cause and corrective action. In addition, you will perform reviews and approve manufacturing build documents including work orders and nonconformance records. You will perform periodic audits of the application of our quality system in accordance with AS9100, recommend initiatives and/or changes that will improve product and system quality, and provide quality assurance subject matter expertise to inspection, manufacturing and test. Periodically, you will interface with internal and external customers on quality related concerns and develop training materials to build quality awareness. Passion for our mission and vision is required! Qualifications:
  • Minimum Quality experience of 8+ years and a M.S. degree in a related technical field or 10+ years of relevant experience and a B.S. degree in a related technical field or no degree with 15+ years of relevant experience.
  • Quality assurance experience in production environment. Aerospace, space launch, military/commercial aviation preferred
  • Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9001 Quality Management System and/or related quality systems and programs
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
Desired:
  • Expertise in Causal Analysis tools, including cause & effect diagrams, Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA), 5-why, fault tree analysis, etc.
  • Work with teams to establish, implement, and maintain a robust Causal Analysis program that provides appropriate flexibility for innovation in research, development, and production environments.
  • Quality assurance experience in rocket engine production environment
  • Relevant experience in transitioning a product from development, through production to operations
  • Quality Management System audit experience
  • Quality performance measurement analysis capabilities
  • Six Sigma Green, Black Belt, or comparable certification
