Summary
Experienced Operations Analyst specializing in Bill of Materials (BOM) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems. Supports seamless setup, release, and maintenance of product data across engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing operations. Ensures product configurations and documentation are accurate, compliant, and efficiently integrated between PLM and ERP systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain BOMs , part numbers, and product configurations within the PLM system.
- Support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and change management workflows; coordinate implementation across global teams.
- Ensure data integrity and synchronization between PLM and ERP (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite).
- Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing to validate product readiness for production.
- Monitor KPIs and create reports to track BOM accuracy, part setup timelines, and change order metrics.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for BOM/PLM processes.
- Participate in UAT testing , data validation, and process improvement initiatives for PLM system enhancements.
- Provide user support and training for PLM and BOM processes; assist in troubleshooting system or data issues.
- Drive continuous improvement projects to reduce data errors and improve process cycle times.
Required Qualifications
- 3 6 years of experience in Operations Analysis , Configuration Management , or Product Data Management roles.
- Proficiency with one or more PLM systems (PTC Windchill, Siemens Teamcenter, Aras, or Oracle Agile PLM).
- Deep understanding of BOM structures , part lifecycle , and change control processes.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and item master data.
- Strong analytical and data management skills; advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and SQL knowledge preferred.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills for cross-functional coordination.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering , Operations Management , Supply Chain , or related field.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in PLM implementation , data migration , or system administration .
- Knowledge of CAD data integration and engineering documentation processes.
- Familiarity with Python , VBA , or Shell scripting for data automation.
- Exposure to Power BI or Tableau for analytics and reporting.
