Salary: $3,000 to $7,000 per month

Scout Pest Control is a local, fast growing pest control company serving the Huntsville/ Madison/ Athens/ Decatur/ Florence/ Cullman areas and we are seeking a passionate, cheerful, and dedicated Pest Control Technician to take part in our success. We provide our customers with an excellent, reliable, and effective pest control experience. We need a Pest Control Technician who is a great communicator, excellent at managing relationships, attentive to detail, hard working, and friendly. Sales and time management skills are a must! Pest Control Technicians primary duties are: Servicing homes and businesses safely, efficiently, and thoroughly to control unwanted pests; Driving safely to and from job-sites; Inspecting homes and businesses for pests and pest activity; Documenting product applications and inspection results using our CRM tools; Communicating and building relationships with customers to explain service and set proper expectations; Selling and Upselling services that will better benefit customers.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be friendly, organized, efficient, detail oriented, and an effective communicator. You will be interacting with our customers daily and having a friendly, patient, and respectful behavior is a must as you are representing our company.

The job requires a good driving history, the ability to pass a background check and drug testing, good customer service skills, and the ability to pay attention to details. We are happy to train, but the ability to be coached and learn are a must! We typically work Monday through Friday, with Saturdays being required once a month and more frequently on occasion. No Sundays. Any potential candidate will be required to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, and be able to handle the physical rigors of servicing homes in both hot and cold weather and traverse uneven ground.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Services all customers on his/her route each day including any stops that are added to your route.
• Ensures the service given is the highest quality service possible.
• Learns and receives training to be fully trained on General Pest, Mosquito, Bed Bug, Termite, and Rodent Services.
• Work towards getting state licensing in:
  • General Pest,
  • Termite,
  • Mosquito,
  • Lawn and Ornamental
  • Pay is increased as each license is obtained.
• Communicates effectively with:
  • Headquarters (home office),
  • Teammates,
  • Lead tech,
  • Service manager.
• Sets appropriate expectations with customers.
• Ensures thoroughness on inspections and service.
• Keeps company truck well maintained, clean, and fully stocked.
• Upsells additional services as possible and meets sales and production goals.
• Seeks and receives as many five-star reviews as possible.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Must familiarize him/herself with the Companys systems and processes.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to bend, twist, push, pull, climb stairs and ladders, and lift 50 pounds regularly.
• Able to assess crawl spaces when needed.
• Traverse on uneven ground.
