Administrative Assistant (Part-Time)
Temple B’nai Sholom – Huntsville, AL
Temple B’nai Sholom is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Part-Time Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of our congregation. This position is open to applicants of all faiths and backgrounds, including those with no religious affiliation.
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for maintaining congregational and financial records, managing communications, coordinating event registrations and payments, updating the temple website, and supporting the Rabbi and congregational programming. The ideal candidate is dependable, professional, organized, and able to manage multiple responsibilities with accuracy and discretion.
Responsibilities
- Maintain congregational and financial records
- Manage temple communications with members and outside contacts
- Coordinate event registrations, RSVPs, and payments
- Update and maintain the temple website
- Support the Rabbi and assist with congregational logistics
- Ensure administrative tasks are completed accurately and on schedule
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Basic administrative and computer proficiency
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
- Prior office or administrative experience preferred
Schedule
Part-time position
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday
9:30 AM – 2:30 PM
