Social Media Marketing Intern
Independence Preparatory Academy is a new, academically challenging, highly structured, and joyful K-8 school in Fairfield, AL. We are on a mission to equip all students with the academic tenacity and strength of character necessary to choose their destiny and create a fulfilling life. We develop empowered learners through agency, purpose, and tenacity.
In August 2025, Independence Preparatory Academy opened its doors to 60 students in kindergarten through second grade. We will continue to grow until we reach a total capacity of 485 students in kindergarten through eighth grade. We are actively building a team that shares our belief that with rigorous academics, high-quality instruction, and character development, all students can excel in high school, college, and life.

We are seeking a Social Media Marketing Specialist (College Intern) who will help bring the iPrep story to life through compelling, consistent, and strategic social media content.
Requirements
ACHIEVE IMPACTFUL OUTCOMES
With support from school leadership, you will:
- Capture and create engaging content (photos, videos, reels, captions) that highlights daily school life, events, and scholar success
- Manage and post content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.) in alignment with iPrep’s brand voice and vision
- Support student recruitment by promoting key moments, programs, and enrollment opportunities
- Engage with families and community members by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Assist in planning and executing social media campaigns tied to school events, milestones, and initiatives
- Track performance metrics (engagement, reach, growth) and suggest ideas to improve content effectiveness
- Collaborate with school leaders to ensure messaging reflects the mission, culture, and priorities of iPrep
Required Qualifications
- Current college student (Marketing, Communications, Business, Journalism, or related field preferred)
- Strong familiarity with social media platforms (especially Instagram and Facebook)
- Comfortable using tools like Canva, CapCut, or similar content creation apps
- Creative thinker with strong writing and visual storytelling skills
- Organized, reliable, and able to manage deadlines
- Passion for education, community impact, and storytelling
- Willingness to be on campus regularly to capture real-time content
