As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Roving Patrol in Montgomery, AL , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.
Pay Rate: $15.91 / Hour
Job Schedule:
DayTimeFri10:00 PM - 06:00 AMHow This Role Works:
- Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
- Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, maintenance concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observed issues to the appropriate contacts.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, including lobbies, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter access points, to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, verify authorized access when required, and document security-related observations and/or unusual activity.
- Support daily operations at a commercial real estate location by assisting with visitor directions, answering general questions, and communicating with property management regarding security-related matters.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 2 or more years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
