Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work every other weekend with weekend coverage required
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:6 for days, nights, and weekends
• Float to Med/Surg units as needed
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Alabama nursing license required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Required work settings experience: MS/Tele, Tele, and PCU/Stepdown
• Must demonstrate strong cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills
• Perform IV starts, manage heparin protocols, and manage cardiac drips without titration
• Skills include telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of rapid response/code teams
• Provide blood product administration, central line care/management, and peripheral line care/management
• Manage oxygen administration, nasal cannula, and non-invasive airway management
• Follow isolation precautions and proper PPE protocols
• Charting system experience required (any system acceptable)
• Schedules cannot be adjusted once contract is confirmed
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
• Accepts first-time travelers
• Non-billable orientation modules averaging 8 hours
