Greenway Hyundai of Decatur is looking for an experienced Service Tech!

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience as an automotive technician with high quality vehicle maintenance and repair experience who can maintain, repair and deliver vehicles while providing exceptional service to customers. This candidate should feel confident working independently or in a team environment. This is a full-time position working some Saturdays (5 days a week schedule).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality repair and maintenance work as outlined on repair orders, following dealership and manufacturer standards
• Diagnose and repair drivability issues and complex electrical concerns using advanced diagnostic tools and procedures
• Conduct test drives and use diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle issues
• Communicate effectively with Service Advisors about additional service needs, repair timelines, and recommendations
• Complete warranty repairs according to manufacturer guidelines
• Maintain accurate documentation of repairs and services performed
• Operate shop equipment including alignment machines, diagnostic tools, AC recovery systems, and vehicle lifts
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, professional work environment
• Stay current with manufacturer training and hands-on learning opportunities

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience as an automotive technician
• Strong diagnostic skills in drivability and electrical systems required
• ASE Certification or completion of an associate degree program in automotive technology preferred
• Proficient with a wide range of shop equipment and repair procedures
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and diagnostic reports
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Professional appearance and team-oriented mindset
