Position Summary

The Concrete Finisher is responsible for setting forms, placing, finishing, and curing concrete on commercial job sites. This role requires hands-on experience with various finishing techniques, the ability to read and follow construction drawings, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

· • Place, level, and finish concrete for slabs, sidewalks, curbs, bollards, and other structural or flatwork surfaces

· • Operate trowels, screeds, and other finishing tools to achieve desired surface texture and smoothness

· • Set and strip concrete forms and grade pins per project drawings

· • Mix, pour, and consolidate concrete to ensure proper consistency and finish

· • Apply curing compounds or protective coatings as required

· • Patch and repair finished surfaces when needed

· • Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools, materials, and jobsite

· • Work collaboratively with project supervisors, crew members, and safety personnel

· • Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA standards, and PPE requirements

Qualifications

· • Minimum 2+ years of concrete finishing experience in commercial or civil construction

· • Ability to read and interpret project plans and elevation drawings

· • Proficient with trowels, floats, screeds, and finishing equipment

· • Knowledge of surface curing methods and concrete mix properties

· • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required

· • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions

· • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and commitment to quality and safety

Preferred

· • Experience with ADA concrete work, bollard installation, or truck stop/commercial site work

· • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification

· • CDL or equipment operator experience (mini-excavator, skid steer, etc.)
