We’re looking for a skilled Manual Machinist to join our team in Theodore, AL . This is a full-time, day-shift position, Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating manual machine tools—such as lathes, mills, and grinders—to produce precision metal parts according to blueprints and specifications. This temporary opportunity offers steady work in a safe and team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Set up and operate manual machine tools including lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
• Inspect finished parts using precision instruments to ensure quality standards are met.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machines.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals safely and efficiently.

Requirements

• Proven experience operating manual machining equipment (lathes, mills, grinders).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and manual dexterity.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
• Vocational training, apprenticeship, or equivalent on-the-job experience preferred.
