What It Takes

• Minimum of 3 years of MIG welding experience or vocational schooling in a related field.
• Strong knowledge of welding processes, equipment, and safety practices.
• Ability to weld in vertical, flat, and overhead positions with good penetration and quality.
• Ability to operate acetylene torches.
• Strong math skills, including metric measurements and angles.
• Ability to read tape measures, angle finders, blueprints, and AWS symbols.
• Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Ability to weld in awkward positions, work from ladders, and perform physical job duties.
• Ability to work full-time, 5 days per week, 10-hour shifts.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Fit and weld parts using MIG welding equipment, fixtures, and basic welding tools.
• Set and adjust welding machine parameters based on material requirements.
• Produce strong, consistent, and non-porous welds that meet print specifications.
• Follow required procedures and use fixtures to support the assembly process.
• Perform basic operations of robotic weld cells as assigned.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure conformance with print specifications and quality standards.
• Properly use and maintain tools, fixtures, and machines, and keep the work area clean and organized.
