Graphics Specialist and Researcher
S3, Inc. is a woman-owned small business founded in 1991, headquartered in Huntsville, AL, that provides technical, programmatic, and logistics services to the US Department of Defense, other US Government Agencies, and Partner Nation militaries, co-located with Government requirements. S3 has a wholly owned subsidiary, KBFS, that provides aviation pilot training, heavy lift, aircraft maintenance, and related aircraft services to Government and commercial requirements IAW multiple FAA certifications. The S3 staff is 70% veterans. The company operates under an ISO 9001/AS9100 certified quality management system.
S3 Inc. is seeking a Graphics Specialist and Researcher to join the corporate publications team at our headquarters in Cummings Research Park, Huntsville, AL.
Position Description: The Graphics specialist and Researcher will create advanced graphics to support proposal activity, capture managers, and other internal customers. This is a full-time position, but it may require work other than the normal schedule and extended hours occasionally.
Typical tasks include:
Create advanced graphics in PowerPoint, Affinity Design, Affinity Photo, Publisher, and InDesign.
Prepare briefings, letters, and other correspondence IAW the company style guide.
Create executive-level briefings with guidance for senior management.
Create marketing materials, proposal graphics, and trade show graphics.
Create data files in Excel, Word, Publisher, and PowerPoint.
Experience with WordPress software is desirable.
Prepare social media posts to Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and others as directed.
Update or revise the content of the company website to include news releases, photos, announcements, and changes to capabilities, partnerships, association memberships, etc.
Duties for this technical position also include online research and internal document management in support of capture managers; also maintains the corporate opportunity pipeline and focused research database.
Train and master the administrative skills required to use the Corporate OneTeam Opportunity /Proposal Management Tool.
Conduct weekly schedule opportunity research according to the S3 profile in GovWin.
Populate S3's One Team program with GovWin automated and manual data updates.
Track strategic opportunities and assist the Capture Manager in identifying targets and starting pursuits early.
Conduct Capture Manager-defined and requested business opportunities research.
Assist Capture Managers in qualifying identified opportunities in OneTeam; assist in adding to the pipeline.
Assist Capture Managers in building teams and tracking teammates (status of NDA and TA) in OneTeam.
Develop SME skills for preparing proposals within the OneTeam tool, including data exchange, coordination, tracking, and color reviews.
Load pertinent documents such as NDAs, TAs, Government RFP documents, proposal documents, briefings, debriefings, and protest documents onto OneTeam.
Conduct monthly pipeline reviews with technical sector managers and staff.
Experience/Skills Required:
At least 3 years of experience working with Microsoft Office programs (e.g., Excel, MS Outlook, MS Access, PowerPoint, and Publisher);
2 years of experience developing quality-level graphics and embedding graphics into official Word documents;
3 years of experience supporting marketing activities of commercial or government service business; and,
1 year of experience working with Social Media (e.g., Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn).
1 year of experience providing Government services.
Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or comparable field.
