NHS Management is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our corporate team in Tuscaloosa. This role is ideal for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to play a meaningful role supporting leaders across a growing long-term care organization.

You won’t just process paperwork — you’ll help shape the employee experience across multiple skilled nursing facilities and corporate departments.

What You’ll Do

1. Serve as an HR partner to facility and corporate leadership
2. Support employee relations, coaching leaders on performance, investigations, and policy interpretation
3. Manage onboarding, employee lifecycle changes, and offboarding processes
4. Assist with HR compliance including FMLA, ADA, leaves, and regulatory requirements
5. Support recruiting operations in partnership with the Talent Acquisition team
6. Maintain accurate HRIS data and documentation
7. Help drive HR initiatives including engagement, retention, and leadership development
8. Assist with policy updates, audits, and process improvement
9. Support multi-site HR needs across NHS Management facilities

What We’re Looking For

1. 2–5 years of HR experience (healthcare or multi-site preferred)
2. Strong employee relations experience
3. Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
4. HRIS experience required (UKG experience strongly preferred)
5. High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
6. Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality
7. Strong communication and problem-solving skills
8. Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred
9. PHR / SHRM-CP preferred but not required
