Financial Controller

Trinity Management, Inc
Oneonta, AL

Job Description

Job Description

Trinity Management, Inc. is a strategic operations company overseeing five skilled nursing facilities across Alabama. We're searching for a hands-on Financial Controller to take full ownership of the accounting and financial operations of our multi-entity long-term care (LTC) management organization. This is a critical leadership role with high visibility across executive, operational, and ownership teams.

We're not looking for a pencil pusher-we're looking for a sharp-minded, detail-obsessed, LTC-savvy controller who knows how to run a tight ship, ensure compliance, and optimize financial performance across entities. You'll work closely with our Executive Director of Strategic Operations and have the authority to build and improve systems, processes, and people. Prior experience in long-term care finance is preferred. Experience with NetSuite ERP is a major plus.

What You'll Do:

  • Own the monthly close process, general ledger accuracy, and financial reporting for multiple facilities

  • Build and manage facility-level and consolidated financial statements, cash flow forecasts, and budget-to-actual comparisons

  • Provide operational support to administrators and department heads to manage expenses and meet financial goals

  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with Medicaid cost reporting and Medicare billing protocols

  • Supervise and support payroll, AP, AR, and general accounting functions

  • Lead financial audits and coordinate all external financial reporting

  • Improve internal controls and standardize financial workflows across entities

  • Collaborate with executive leadership on financial strategy and planning

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance (CPA or MBA preferred, not required)

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or controller-level role

  • Long-term care or healthcare finance experience strongly preferred

  • NetSuite or equivalent ERP system experience required

  • Strong Excel skills, deep understanding of GAAP, and experience in regulatory compliance

  • Someone who can lead a team, manage deadlines, and isn't afraid to ask tough questions

Why You'll Want to Work Here:

  • Competitive salary based on experience and skill

  • Full benefits including:

    • Company-paid Medical + GAP plan

    • Dental and Vision

    • Company-paid Life Insurance with voluntary benefit options

  • Paid holidays and generous PTO

  • Remote scheduled days available once onboarding is complete

  • A collaborative team that values operational excellence and integrity
