Job Title: Material Handler
Department: Warehouse / Operations
Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor

Job Summary

The Material Handler is responsible for the movement, storage, and organization of materials within the warehouse or production facility. This role ensures materials are properly received, handled, and distributed to support efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and unload incoming materials and shipments
• Move materials to designated storage areas using manual or powered equipment
• Pick, pack, and prepare materials for shipment or production use
• Maintain accurate inventory records and report discrepancies
• Organize and maintain a clean and safe work area
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Support other warehouse or production tasks as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous warehouse or material handling experience is a plus but not required
• Ability to lift and move materials (typically up to 50 lbs)
• Basic math and communication skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team

Working Conditions

• Warehouse or industrial environment
• May require standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods
• May operate forklifts or other material handling equipment (training provided if needed)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials
• Comfortable working on feet for long periods
• Ability to work in varying temperatures depending on facility
