Position Overview
Based in Leeds, AL and reporting directly to the Cost Manager, the Accounting Coordinator will serve as a key member of the Finance team and provide support for a variety of costing and inventory activities.
This position is responsible for supporting the ongoing maintenance of standard costs, month end closing activities, reporting and controls.
Assist in the monthly closing and reporting process, using financial reporting systems
Working with Bill of Materials and Product Routings through SAP system.
Assist in monthly variance analysis including, but not limited to, PPV, freight, material usage, production order, labor, and burden (overhead) variances
Providing analysis and support to Internal and External Audits of the businesses.
Reviewing, analyzing and updating standard product costs as they relate to labor, material and overhead.
Assist in cycle counts and physical inventories and reconcile all differences.
Assisting with department spending analysis and facility budgets and forecasts.
Support for internal and external audit activities
Complete ad hoc financial information requests Skills and Experience
1-3 years cost accounting experience using SAP or similar ERP in a manufacturing environment.
Associates degree in accounting or related field preferred
Strong analytical, planning and communication skills.
Strong computer skills; proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Excel & Word. Education
