About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chair for the Department of Family, Internal, and Rural Medicine. The successful candidate will be a dynamic, visionary, and collaborative primary care physician leader with a strong record in medical education, community engagement, and research. This role involves crafting a strategic vision for the department, fostering educational excellence, and enhancing research productivity. The Chair will also be responsible for the financial management of the department, faculty recruitment, retention, and development, and will serve as the external representative and advocate for the department. The ideal candidate will have a background in family medicine, internal medicine, or internal medicine-pediatrics, and must hold an MD or DO degree, be Board Certified, and have a current DEA certificate. A strong preference is given to candidates with at least five years of experience in a clinical and academic medicine leadership role, particularly in primary care residency leadership. Applicants for the Chair position at the company should be prepared to address key challenges and opportunities, including forging strong external clinical relationships, sustaining and enhancing educational excellence, and developing sufficient resources to support the department's ambitions.
