SMT SOLDERING OPERATOR Technician

7:15 AM - 4:00 PM - MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

NO CERTIFICATION NEEDED - SOLDERING TEST ON SITE

$18.00 - $20.00 PER HOUR

Duties

• Precisely assemble PCBs by placing surface mount components using hand tools, power tools, and automated equipment.
• Perform soldering of components onto PCBs following IPC 610 standards to ensure reliable electrical connections.
• Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and assembly instructions to accurately complete tasks.
• Inspect solder joints and assembled boards for quality compliance, identifying and correcting defects as needed.
• Use calipers, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing tools to verify component placement and circuit functionality.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with quality to troubleshoot issues related to PCB assembly and soldering processes.

Experience

• Proven experience in surface mount technology (SMT) assembly and soldering within a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with PCB design, schematics, electrical wiring, and mechanical assembly principles.
• Knowledge of IPC 610 standards for electronic assemblies and soldering quality requirements.
• Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, machining equipment, calipers, and testing instruments such as ohmmeters.
• Basic understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus but not mandatory.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
• Prior experience working with electrical wiring, electrical components, or in electronics manufacturing is highly desirable.

Schedule & Pay

• Shift: 1st Shift – Monday–Friday 7:15AM–4:00 PM

• Pay: $18-$20/hr \
