Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Current certification in Special Education (state-specific credential preferred)
- Proven experience working with students with various disabilities in a school setting
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Demonstrated classroom management and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and school staff
- Compassion, flexibility, and adaptability in dynamic classroom environments
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver individualized instruction based on students’ unique learning needs
- Create, revise, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and parents to support student success
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation as required by school and state guidelines
- Foster an inclusive, positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student growth and participation
- Attend team meetings, professional development, and in-service trainings as required
