Diesel Technician

NOW OFFERING ** RELOCATION ASSISTANCE + SIGN ON BONUS ** FOR DIESEL TECHNICIAN McSweeney Chevrolet GMC/CDJR is seeking a highly skilled Diesel Technician to join our team in Clanton, Alabama. This is a full-time role where the ideal candidate will have previous experience working with diesel engines and a strong understanding of automotive technology. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for identifying and repairing diesel engine issues, completing routine maintenance tasks, and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction. • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, fuel filter replacements, and other general diesel related preventative maintenance
• Keep up-to-date with all technical service bulletins and manufacturer recalls
• Utilize diagnostic equipment to identify and troubleshoot issues with diesel engines and drivetrains
• Communicate with Service Advisors and customers to explain repairs needed and provide cost estimates
• Keep accurate records of all services and repairs performed
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years experience working with diesel engines. Manufacturer specific knowledge with Chevrolet or Dodge is considered a plus
• ASE Diesel Certification or equivalent is preferred
• Strong understanding of automotive technology and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical information to non-technical individuals
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
