Position Summary

The facility is seeking a compassionate and motivated Primary Care Physician to join its growing outpatient practice in Dothan, Alabama .

The role focuses on preventive health, chronic disease management, wellness visits, and acute care within a fully outpatient setting. Physicians enjoy a balanced schedule and a well-structured support system.

Essential Position Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care for adult and/or family patient populations
• Perform annual physicals, wellness exams, and preventive care screenings
• Diagnose and manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, COPD, asthma, etc.
• Treat acute illnesses and minor injuries
• Order, review, and interpret diagnostic testing
• Develop individualized treatment plans and ensure proper follow-up
• Document all patient encounters accurately in the EHR
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nurses, MAs, and specialists
• Participate in quality improvement, population health, and clinic initiatives
• Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and regulatory standards

Qualifications

Education

• M.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an accredited residency in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Fresh graduates encouraged to apply

Licensure & Certification

• Eligible for an Alabama Medical License
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Current BLS (ACLS helpful but not required)

Experience

• No prior practicing experience required — full support and onboarding provided
• Experience with outpatient primary care preferred but not mandatory

• Strong diagnostic and clinical assessment abilities
• Excellent communication and patient engagement skills
• Team-oriented approach with a commitment to quality care
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced outpatient setting
• Proficient with EMR documentation
