The role
Zaden's Consulting Services business unit is looking for experienced DevSecOps / DevOps / Cloud Automation engineers to join our software factory team. As a DevSecOps Engineer in our software factory team you will work closely with brightest engineers and managers to create a cloud-native and cloud-agnostic software factory using Cybersecurity and DevSecOps best practices to enable multi-tenancy, single sign-on, and multi-factor authentication. You will also work with other like-minded automation engineers to implement a hardened continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline that incorporates the latest cybersecurity and zero trust practices, to include code signing, and container STIGs.
Salary Range: $115,000 - $145,000 + 5% Performance Bonus + Benefits
Responsibilities:
- Engineer and implement DevSecOps best practices, including versioned, immutable, and declarative Infrastructure-as-Code, reconciled actual state, and version-controlled desired state
- Deliver and maintain cloud infrastructure, spanning on-premise solutions and public cloud instances like Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure
- Implement, configure, and customize features to the infrastructure using Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Terraform and other cloud-based tools
- Modify user interfaces and reporting options for these tools as required to support customer needs
- Implement custom CI/CD pipelines and workflows based on customer needs
- May travel up to 20% of the time if not located in Huntsville, AL
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience (5 years)
- Experience designing, building, and deploying cloud-based solution architectures
- Excellent programming skills using Python, Go, and Java
- Hands-on Kubernetes and Docker experience
- Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems
- U.S. Citizen
Preferred qualifications:
- BSc / MSc degree (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical degree)
- 4+ years of experience in software engineering or systems administration
- Experience working with cloud provider ecosystems for at least one of the major cloud service providers (Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform provisioning
- Experience using Revision Control Systems (e.g., Mercurial, Piper, Git, etc.)
- Experience working with container technologies (Docker/Podman/Buildah, Kubernetes, and Helm)
- Experience building/running/monitoring CI/CD pipelines and monitoring/debugging infrastructure issues
- Experience building automation tooling in scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Rust
- Active DoD Security Clearance, or ability to obtain one
