MACHINE OPERATOR I-

Major Functions and Scope:

Using brief narrative statements, describe each major function or responsibility explaining the scope of the function as appropriate.

• Loads raw materials into hopper using a Front-End Loader.
• Fills and maintains additive hoppers and adjusts feeders as required.
• Monitors flow of material through crushing process.
• Maintains accurate production reporting and record keeping.
• Able to maintain significant physical strength and stamina.
• Performs various tests to ensure body materials are within specifications and documents results.
• Willingness and ability to assist with normal, ongoing Crushing color changes.
• Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.
• Follows ISO operating procedures.
• Keeps area safe, clean and organized.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Knowledge, Experience, Competencies and Supervision:

High school diploma or equivalent experience.

While performing the duties of this position, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The associate is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate may be required to sometimes sit, climb or balance. The associate may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position includes close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this position, the associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The associate is occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles and silica dust. The associate must be able to pass a lung function test annually. The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures. The noise level is less than 85 dBA.
