CNC BENDER OPERATOR
Location: FLORENCE, AL
DUTIES:
- Employee will ensure that the Bender is in safe working condition at the beginning of each shift checking items such as: presence of machine guards (mechanical & electrical), condition of wiring, condition of bend dies (clean / tight), condition of mandrel (if installed). Ensure tie bars are installed properly and report any problems to a supervisor or lead person.
- Employee will set-up the Bender to produce bent tubes in accordance with the job Traveler.
- Employee will monitor equipment through out the run process.
- Employee will inspect the tube produced by the equipment checking for the following: Deformation in bend or laser holes, bend quality and bite marks or gouges.
- If the Q.A. department is to scan the part (FARO), the employee will be responsible for providing that sample. Employees will learn (OJT) the process of adjusting the HMI screen that manipulates the program for bender. This process changes different aspects of the bent tube.
- Employee will package the material processed by the Bender in accordance with the job traveler.
- Employee will assist in the day-to-day maintenance of equipment.
- Employee will be cross trained to cover other bending positions for vacation and lunch relief
- Employee will maintain a clean and safe work area and other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or GED
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Employee required to stand, bend, squat and reach for duration of scheduled shift as well as lift up to 50 pounds for duration of scheduled shift.
SHIFT TIME: 5am-3pm Monday -Thursday- (some overtime could be required)
PAY RATE: $17.75/HR
