Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer at a government transit location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support riders, visitors, and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $18.05 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to riders, visitors, and staff by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and appropriate emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and high-traffic public spaces to help support authorized access, observe conditions, and address policy-related issues in a professional manner.
• Assist with crowd management, vehicle and pedestrian flow, and security-related presence during peak travel periods, service disruptions, special events, and/or emergency situations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• An armed guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
