Job Summary
We are looking for individual to join our client’s team as Radiologic Technologist. In this role, you will perform diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily general X-rays, including routine and mobile exams. You will play a key role in supporting accurate diagnoses and high-quality patient care by producing clear, diagnostic-quality radiographic images while adhering to safety standards and best practices.
Job Description
- Operate and maintain radiographic/X-ray equipment, including mobile imaging units.
- Prepare imaging rooms and equipment; ensure all necessary supplies are available and ready.
- Position patients accurately and compassionately; adjust exposure factors (kVp, mA, time) for optimal image quality.
- Perform imaging studies and evaluate images for diagnostic adequacy; repeat studies as needed.
- Adhere to radiation protection protocols to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and self.
- Document procedures, patient information, and images accurately in the Radiology Information System (RIS), PACS, and EMR.
- Conduct routine quality control checks and coordinate minor maintenance or supply replenishment as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with radiologists, fellow technologists, and other healthcare professionals to support efficient department operations.
Skills Required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a General Radiographer.
Education/Training/Certifications
- A valid Radiologic Technologist license issued by the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH)
- Certification and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Shift Time: 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
- The manager is open to a flexible work schedule Possible 4-day work week
Pay Rate
- Up to $62.50 per hour depending on experience
