Software Architect – IIS Applications We are seeking a high-caliber Software Architect to lead the design, development, and evolution of our mission-critical IIS-hosted applications. In this role, you will act as the technical authority, bridging complex business requirements with secure, scalable, and high-performance software solutions. You will be responsible for ensuring the structural integrity, security, and scalability of enterprise applications throughout their lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Lead architectural discussions to analyze technical requirements and design scalable, performance-efficient applications optimized for IIS deployment Translate complex business needs into detailed technical designs, components, and specifications for development teams Evaluate, recommend, and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and libraries for both front-end and back-end solutions Establish and enforce code quality standards, best practices, and rigorous code reviews across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Design and engineer systems with a strong focus on database optimization, performance tuning, and caching strategies to ensure maximum efficiency Ensure all application architectures strictly adhere to ADPH security standards and enterprise security requirements Serve as the technical liaison between software developers, project managers, business analysts, and customers to ensure successful and timely project delivery Provide technical leadership and guidance in converting complex business requirements into well-structured technical architectures Top 4 skills: ASP.NET Core MVC 4/5 C# ADO.NET SQL Server / SSMS Required Technical Expertise: ASP.NET Core MVC 4/5 C# HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery ADO.NET SQL Server / SSMS Visual Studio Bootstrap IIS (Internet Information Services) configuration and optimization Preferred Skills & Attributes Strong architectural mindset with experience designing enterprise-scale systems Proven ability to optimize application performance and scalability Deep understanding of secure software design principles Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences Experience working across cross-functional teams in a leadership role

This is a Contract position based out of Montgomery, AL.

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
