We are seeking a qualified and dedicated RN Unit Manager to lead within our exceptionally well-staffed nursing department at Luverne Health and Rehab. Our robust nursing team ensures comprehensive patient care and support, allowing our Unit Managers to focus on delivering exceptional leadership and oversight.

As a Unit Manager, you will oversee day-to-day patient care, supervise and develop nursing staff, and collaborate closely with the Director of Nursing to uphold the highest standards of quality care in a long-term care, skilled nursing, or assisted living setting. You will serve as a dependable and personable liaison between residents, their families, and the care team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensure the nursing unit maintains compliance with all federal and state regulatory standards as well as company policies.
2. Supervise and direct nursing staff engaged in quality assurance, infection control, and utilization review activities.
3. Receive and communicate physician orders to appropriate units to ensure timely resident care.
4. Delegate nursing and therapeutic procedures effectively to nursing and paraprofessional staff.
5. Conduct regular patient rounds to assess residents’ conditions, evaluate care quality, and ensure accurate documentation.

Qualifications:

1. Current Alabama RN license required.
2. Minimum two years of nursing experience, with at least one year in a supervisory role.
3. Experience in long-term care or working with the geriatric population preferred.
4. Strong clerical skills and ability to analyze and utilize data.
5. Proven ability to organize, plan, and manage personnel and nursing services efficiently.
6. Ability to coordinate department operations in collaboration with other departments.
