Location: Fort Payne, AL
Starting Pay: $16/hour paid biweekly
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00AM - 3:30 PM
Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

About the Role:
As a Customer Service Representative , you will handle the daily input of sales orders , respond to customer inquiries, and support the sales and estimating teams to ensure smooth processing of initial orders. You will play a vital role in maintaining customer satisfaction through clear communication and proactive follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
As a Customer Support Representative , your responsibilities will include:
- Process customer purchase orders and perform order entry with accuracy.
- Address and manage customer requests, including expedites and deferrals .
- Support Outside Sales Representatives by addressing customer or vendor concerns.
- Acknowledge incoming purchase orders and track order due dates to keep customers informed.
- Maintain excellent communication with customers and ensure orders are processed on time.
- Answer incoming phone calls and provide professional, courteous assistance.
- Assist in achieving continuous improvement and quality objectives.
- Complete additional responsibilities as assigned to meet company, customer, or regulatory needs.
Skills & Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication skills, including active listening and the ability to adjust your style to different audiences.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve issues effectively.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (intermediate level).
- Typing speed of 35+ words per minute with accuracy.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while meeting deadlines.
Preferred:
- Prior experience in manufacturing or order fulfillment processes.
- Knowledge of administrative record-keeping procedures.
- A strong customer service mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
