Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00AM - 3:30 PM

About the Role:

As a Customer Service Representative , you will handle the daily input of sales orders , respond to customer inquiries, and support the sales and estimating teams to ensure smooth processing of initial orders. You will play a vital role in maintaining customer satisfaction through clear communication and proactive follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Support Representative , your responsibilities will include:

• Process customer purchase orders and perform order entry with accuracy.
• Address and manage customer requests, including expedites and deferrals .
• Support Outside Sales Representatives by addressing customer or vendor concerns.
• Acknowledge incoming purchase orders and track order due dates to keep customers informed.
• Maintain excellent communication with customers and ensure orders are processed on time.
• Answer incoming phone calls and provide professional, courteous assistance.
• Assist in achieving continuous improvement and quality objectives.
• Complete additional responsibilities as assigned to meet company, customer, or regulatory needs.

Skills & Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills, including active listening and the ability to adjust your style to different audiences.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve issues effectively.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (intermediate level).
• Typing speed of 35+ words per minute with accuracy.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently while meeting deadlines.

Preferred:

• Prior experience in manufacturing or order fulfillment processes.
• Knowledge of administrative record-keeping procedures.
• A strong customer service mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
