As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Troy, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense and more .

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment within a dynamic aerospace and defense location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter unwanted activity, and responding promptly to incidents as they arise. You will interact with employees, visitors, and contractors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication at all times. This armed post requires you to carry a firearm and demonstrate a high level of professionalism and integrity. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the facility and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and control entry to restricted areas in accordance with site protocols.
• Document and report any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or maintenance issues observed during patrols.
• Collaborate with site personnel and law enforcement as needed to address security-related concerns.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats within the location, which may include sensitive or high-security areas related to aerospace and defense operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must possess a valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Must have an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
