Join us and be part of this journey towards greater opportunities and brighter futures. **Title: EDA Application Architect** **Location: Charlotte, NC - willing to work in EST timings and** **preferred location is on the East coast** **Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced **EDA (Event-Driven Architecture) Application Architect** with strong expertise in **Node.js** to design and lead the implementation of scalable, event-driven, and API-driven solutions. This role requires deep knowledge of **microservices, messaging platforms, and real-time processing** to enable seamless integration across enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will define the architectural vision, mentor development teams, and ensure alignment with business and technology strategies. This is a remote, work at home opportunity in the US. **Key Responsibilities** + Define and implement event-driven architectures (EDA) using Node.js, microservices, and cloud-native platforms. + Design and optimize asynchronous communication patterns (publish/subscribe, event streaming, CQRS, event sourcing). + Architect and oversee development of real-time APIs and event-driven workflows using Node.js frameworks (Express.js, Nest.js). + Select and integrate messaging/streaming platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS Kinesis, Azure Event Hub, or GCP Pub/Sub). + Define architectural standards, event schemas, contracts, and governance models for system-wide consistency. + Collaborate with product owners, developers, and enterprise architects to align solutions with strategic objectives. + Implement resilient, fault-tolerant, and scalable event-driven systems in distributed environments. + Ensure security, compliance, and observability across APIs and event pipelines. + Guide the team in best practices for Node.js development, microservices, and EDA patterns. + Conduct architecture reviews, performance testing, and scalability assessments. + Provide technical leadership in CI/CD automation, cloud deployments (AWS/Azure/GCP), and container orchestration (Kubernetes). + Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in the FinTech sector. **Required qualifications for this position include:** + Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. + 10+ years of software development experience with at least 5+ years in architecture roles. + Proven expertise in Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and relevant frameworks (Express.js, Nest.js). + Strong background in event-driven architectures, microservices, and distributed systems. + Hands-on experience with messaging and event-streaming platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Kinesis, etc.). + Deep understanding of EDA design patterns (event sourcing, CQRS, pub/sub). + Experience with cloud-native architectures and services (AWS, Azure, or GCP). + Proficiency in API design, integration, and lifecycle management. + Knowledge of DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes). + Solid understanding of data storage options (SQL, NoSQL, time-series databases). **Preferred Qualifications For This Position Include** + Demonstrates judgment and flexibility - positively deals with a shifting demand for time, priorities, and the rapid change of environments. + Cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect, GCP Architect). + Experience in financial services, healthcare, or large-scale enterprise platforms + Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools (Prometheus, ELK, Datadog, Grafana). + Exposure to domain-driven design (DDD) in event-driven systems. + Experience with API management tools (Apigee, Kong, AWS API Gateway, MuleSoft). The base salary range for this position is $106,087 - $166,709, plus incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies.
