Job Title: Manager Actuarial (Property & Casualty / Auto)
Location: 100% Remote (Work EST or CST hours)
Type: Long-Term Contract Contract to Hire (4 6 months conversion)

Client is seeking an experienced Actuarial Manager to lead the pricing, rate-making, and filing efforts for Property & Casualty or Auto insurance lines. This position offers a remote, long-term contract-to-hire opportunity, working closely with actuarial leadership, data science, and product management teams to ensure accurate and competitive pricing strategies.

You'll supervise analysts, review complex pricing models, validate rates, and automate actuarial processes using SQL/Python. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise, regulatory understanding, and leadership in managing actuarial pricing functions.

• Lead and oversee actuarial pricing and rate-making activities for P&C or Auto lines.

• Guide team members through actuarial filings and ensure compliance with state regulations.

• Review actuarial memoranda, rate filings, and related documentation.

• Perform advanced trend and impact analyses for rate changes.

• Partner with Product Managers and Data Scientists on pricing strategy.

• Automate and optimize actuarial processes using SQL and Python.

• Mentor and develop junior actuarial staff.

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.

• 8+ years of actuarial experience in Property & Casualty or Auto insurance .

• Proven experience in rate-making and state filing support.

• Strong knowledge of SQL/Python and Excel/VBA.

• Completed 5+ actuarial exams (ACAS preferred).

• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
