Position Title: Site Equipment Operator II

Department: Field Operations

Supervisor : Site Foreman

Location: Athens, AL

Essential Job Functions:

• Operate various equipment such as:
  • Mini Excavator
  • Skid Steer
  • Scraper Tractor and Pan(s)*
  • *GPS experience is a plus
• Ensure all work is completed according to required standards and plans
• Load and offload rocks, debris and other materials from heavy equipment
• Maneuver motorized heavy equipment to ensure the accurate removal and placement of materials
• Willing to work on the ground and perform manual labor to complete tasks as needed
• Complete daily equipment inspections and report any issues immediately
• Maintain a high level of quality work at all times
• Maintain good relationships with Technicians, Foreman, Superintendents, Inspectors, Developers, and other co-workers at all times
• Aid coworkers to ensure that the site is clean and organized at the end of each shift
• Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work tasks
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Represent and promote Grayson Carter and Son in a professional and honest manner

Job Qualifications/Requirements:

• Ability to communicate and convey information effectively
• Must be physically able to stand, walk, sit, crouch, kneel, climb, and periodically lift 75 pounds
• Knowledge of OSHA Standards
• Ability to obtain Arsenal and FBI Badge preferred, but not required
• Requires personal transportation to job sites.
• Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on all job sites as required
• Work weekends and overtime as needed
• Committed to attending work each day
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
