Job Summary
A growing organization is seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to support purchasing and sourcing operations in a hybrid work environment. This role is responsible for procuring materials, equipment, supplies, and services of a specialized or complex nature while ensuring compliance with established purchasing policies and procedures.
Job Description
- Procure non-engineering materials, equipment, supplies, and services in accordance with company purchasing policies and procedures.
- Source suppliers and identify cost-effective purchasing opportunities.
- Update pricing, supplier information, and part numbers within the ERP system.
- Set up and maintain vendor records and documentation.
- Manage day-to-day purchase order (PO) processing and vendor communications.
- Review and analyze purchase requisitions for accuracy and completeness.
- Recommend and support process improvements related to procurement activities.
- Prepare and issue bid requests, specifications, requests for proposals (RFPs), and formal bid invitations.
- Evaluate bids, quotes, and proposals to select qualified vendors and suppliers.
- Support contract administration and supplier performance management.
- Monitor purchase changes, revisions, and change orders as needed.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Shift: 7am - 4pm or 8am - 5pm M - F
Skills Required
- 1–3 years of relevant procurement, purchasing, or sourcing experience required.
- Experience working with ERP systems and procurement software.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and vendor management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of purchasing processes, sourcing strategies, and contract administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
Education
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field preferred.
Pay Rate
- $28 - $38 per hour (Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors)
