The Night Shift Lead Millwright is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of all machinery during the night shift, ensuring smooth operations and maximizing production uptime. This includes leading a team, troubleshooting issues, coordinating repairs, and implementing preventative maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership:

  Supervise and guide a team of millwrights, providing direction and support to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely.

• Troubleshooting and Repair:

  Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues with mill machinery, including conveyors, hydraulic systems, and other equipment.

• Preventative Maintenance:

  Plan and execute preventative maintenance activities to minimize downtime and extend the life of equipment.

• Safety:

  Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to all safety regulations and procedures.

• Communication:

  Effectively communicate with other departments, including production and engineering, to coordinate repairs and maintenance activities.

• Documentation:

  Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.

• Coordination:

  Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain necessary parts and equipment.

• Continuous Improvement:

  Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reliability.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Proven experience as a Millwright, ideally in a sawmill or similar industrial setting.
• Knowledge: Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
• Skills: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
