Position Overview:

KODA Technologies is looking for a Model-Based Systems Engineer ( MBSE) who is passionate about modern engineering approaches and ready to help government customers transition to model-based systems engineering . This role offers the opportunity to work on complex programs, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and shape how systems are designed and analyzed using MBSE tools and methodologies. There are several positions available, each requiring DoD Secret Clearances.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Support government customers in model-based system engineering (MBSE) implementation
  • Develop digital models to support the development and sustainment of military systems programs
  • Synthesize program technical documentation and artifacts for the development of an end-to-end representation of the system to include hardware/software and external interfaces
  • Interface with government customers and development contractors to translate system requirements, design, interfaces, and behaviors into system models
  • Develop modeling and simulation strategies and plans
  • Utilize a tailored Object-Oriented System Engineering Methodology approach to identify system stakeholders, requirements, system components, interfaces, data, and capture system parametric information
  • Develop and present products, analyses, and reports to the government customer
  • Perform analytical efforts within a classified work environment
  • Participate/support program meetings, reviews, and milestones
  • Provide solutions/concepts that optimize the acquisition, development, and operation of DoD systems

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field
  • 3+ years of related work experience
  • Working understanding of AI pipelines, including data processing, model deployment, and integration
  • Understanding of frameworks such as LangChain, Open WebUI, and embedding databases
  • Proficiency with SysML using modern MBSE tools such as Cameo, Capella, Innoslate, Rhapsody, CORE, etc.
  • Experience with system design, development, integration, and test
  • Strong programming skills in Python or similar languages, with a focus on AI and data processing libraries
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Clearance:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and have an active DoD Secret Clearance
